We must  remember, if we all stick together, nothing is impossible as division is weekness and unity is strength.  Setting resolutions early help us prepare to stick with them throughout the year. This day is in recognition of the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. 

Martin Luther King Jr had been the chief spokesperson for nonviolent activism in protest of racial discrimination in federal and state law during  the Civil rights movement. This day has been recognized as a federal holiday on the third Monday in January since 1986.

In recognition of the birthday of George Washington and in honor of all U.S. Presidents, Presidents day had been recognized on George Washington's birthday on February 22 from 1879 to 1971  Presidents Day has since been recognized annually on the third Monday in February.

Memorial Day is a day that we honor and mourn military personnel who have died in service of our country. From 1868 to 1970 Memorial day had been observed on May 30th; now Memorial day is observed on the last Monday in May. Remember those who have laid down their lives to give our country the security, rights, and freedoms that most others could only imagine.

Juneteenth is a day the emancipation of African American slaves is celebrated. Juneteenth is a federal holiday  that has been observed  on June 19th since 1865.

Independence Day is a day that we celebrate the Declaration of Independence in the United States. This legal separation of the thirteen colonies from Great Britain has been celebrated on July 4th since 1776.
